Union Minister Tariq Anwar today alleged that the BJP was fielding candidates imported from other parties.
"The BJP has imported leaders from other parties and fielded them as candidates at several parliamentary seats in Bihar," Tariq, a senior NCP leader, told reporters after filing nomination from the Katihar Lok Sabha seat.
"You don't field outsiders as candidates if you claim to be a party of cadres and leaders," Tariq, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing, said.
Anwar also hit out at the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for making promises as if he had already become the prime minister.
Alleging that BJP under Modi's leadership was seeking to implement the agenda of the RSS, the NCP leader claimed that the Congress-led UPA would again foil the bid by 'communal forces' to wrest power at the centre.
He also criticised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for "lack of development" in Bihar.
Tariq, who had represented Katihar parliamentary seat for one term (1984-1989), was confident that the electorate would reward him for his good work.
