Accompanied by his mother Dolly Gogoi and his English wife Elizabeth Colburn Gogoi, Gaurav filed his papers before the returning officer and Nagaon Deputy Commissioner.
Gaurav, later on, participated in a procession with Gayan Bayan (ethnic cultural troupe) to the DC's office accompanied also by ministers Rockybul Hussain and Ajanta Neog, MLAs Gautam Bora, Bismita Gogoi, Arun Phukan and other Congress leaders.
Former MLA Jiten Gogoi and Arup Kumar Mahanta also filed their nomination papers today for the seat as Independent and CPML candidates respectively, DC office sources said.
The last date for filing nomination for this seat is March 21 and scrutiny will be held the next day.
