The make-up artist by the name of Holly Hartman did not show up in the Manhattan court after filing a restraining order against the actress, reported E! Online.
"The domestic violence restraining order filed by Ms. Hartman has been dismissed," an attorney for Hartman said.
"We are preparing to file a new, more compressive, petition later this week."
The case was dismissed because Hartman did not show up for the court hearing.
Two weeks ago, Hartman claimed in a court document that Manning "head-butted her in the face, whipped her with a wet towel, sprayed Windex in her eyes and mouth and put her in a headlock" before begging the woman to stab her to death.

The dismissal came just one day after Manning filed a New York Supreme Court petition against NYC for a separate legal case.
The 37-year-old star claimed the New York Police Department should not have arrested her in November 2014 and accused her of making criminal threats against Jeanine Heller, a woman whom the actress had previously obtained a restraining order against.
According to the court papers, Manning was handcuffed at the Fifth Precinct station in Chinatown although Manhattan DA's Office had notified detectives she wasn't going to be prosecuted. She allegedly remained in police custody for hours while there were no charges filed against her.
