Half of workers plan to spend their holiday at home this yr * While 72 per cent of full time workers in India are planning to take time away from work, this summer more than half of them are likely to enjoy their holiday at home and not in an exotic location, a CareerBuilder survey says.
The nationwide survey found that taking a holiday is financially out of reach for twelve per cent of workers and an additional 15 per cent of respondents said that though they can afford a holiday, they have no plans to take one.
Around 63 per cent of workers reported they gave up holiday days last year because they did not have time to use them and 27 per cent lost four or more days off last year.
To make matters worse, technology has made getting away harder for employees today as unplugging for a holiday can prove challenging.
