Tata Global Beverages pledges 16.60% shares in Tata Coffee

Tata Global Beverages Ltd (TGBL) today pledged over 31 lakh shares held in Tata Coffee, representing 16.60 per cent of the total share capital, with SBICAP Trustee Company.
TGBL is the promoter of Tata Coffee and has more than one crore shares equalling 57.48 per cent of total share capital of the company.
In a filing to BSE, Tata Coffee said TGBL has pledged 31,00,040 shares with SBICAP Trustee.
TGBL has also pledged over 36 lakh shares in another group firm Tata Chemicals, representing 1.43 per cent of total share capital.
In a separate filing to BSE, Tata Chemicals informed its one of the promoters TGBL has pledged 36,39,201 shares with SBICAP Trustee.

TGBL has already pledged 21 lakh shares of Tata Coffee and more than seven lakh shares in Tata Chemicals at the end of December 2013.
TGBL deals in the production, distribution and trading of tea, coffee and water worldwide.
