Tata Motors gains over 2% after strong JLR Sep sales

Tata Motors' scrip rose by over 2 per cent today after the company-owned Jaguar Land Rover reported a 28 per cent increase in retail sales in September.
Shares of the company moved up 2.13 per cent to Rs 563 on BSE. On NSE, it gained 2 per cent to Rs 562.80.
Tata Motors-owned JLR today reported a 28 per cent increase in retail sales with 61,047 units in September. The month's performance was driven by strong sales of the Land Rover Discovery, the Discovery Sport, the Range Rover Evoque and the Jaguar F-PACE as well as solid sales in China, Tata Motors said in a BSE filing.
The Jaguar brand sold 17,640 units in September, up 70 per cent from the year-ago month, reflecting the strong launch of the F-PACE as well as continued solid sales of the XE, it added.
