Casey Hornsby was the winner in a national promotional run by Tata Motors' South African subsidiary that offered the winner not only a new Bolt hatchback but also a job with the company.
However, Hornsby opted for cash instead of a job with Tata Motors as she first wants to complete her studies before starting work.
Tata Motors decided to not only contribute the Rand 25,000 (about USD 1,600) needed by the second year Bachelor of Commerce student Hornsby but gave her the car as well.
The four-month competition required entrants to create their own Bolt advertisement highlighting their love for the small hatchback, a new entrant in the South African market.
