Maharashtra Finance Minister Ajit Pawar said on Friday that the 450-odd Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state would be upgraded in collaboration with the Tata Trusts.
The Tata Trusts would invest Rs 10,000 crore while the state government would contribute Rs 1,500 crore to the project, Pawar told reporters here.
Upgrading of infrastructure and courses taught at ITIs was the need of the hour, he said.
