"If the government is sincere enough and wants the truth to be revealed, they should hand over the J Dey murder case probe to CBI," Tawade told reporters here.
"What was the motive behind killing J Dey? Who all were involved in the murder, will be revealed if the probe is handed over to the premier investigation agency," he said.
Tawade also alleged that the state government is aware of the betting and match-fixing done during IPL matches, but is "turning a blind-eye" from taking any action.
"After the state government felt intense pressure post J Dey murder, they framed Jigna Vora in the case," he alleged.
The BJP leader had yesterday alleged that Dey, who was associated with a daily tabloid, was killed as he was about to expose the match-fixing in the Indian Premier League. MORE
