"May be, because his party's senior leader, Advani, made the predictions on results of 2014 general elections, Tawde must have made that statement out of frustration," Chavan said when asked for reaction.
"I would say it was an uncivilized statement."
A criminal case for defamation has been filed against Tawde after he made certain remarks against Chavan during a visit to flood-affected Yavatmal district on August 3.
