Taye Diggs splits from Idina Menzel after 10 years of marriage

'Private Practice' star Taye Diggs and his actress wife Idina Menzel have decided to go separate ways after 10 years of marriage.
The split was confirmed by a representative for the couple on December 11, reported Ace showbiz.
"Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have jointly decided to separate at this time. Their primary focus and concern is for their son. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time," the representative said in a statement.
Diggs, 42, and Menzel met for the first time when they were in the original Broadway production of 'Rent' in 1995. They tied the knot in 2003.

The 42-year-old Tony Awards-winning actress gave birth to the couple's son Walker in 2009.
Earlier this year, Menzel who played the mother of Lea Michele's character on 'Glee' had revealed about going through a tough marriage time.
"We work at it. I'm not going to glamorize it or glorify it - we go through tough times like everybody else, but we love each other very much. We try not to be away from each other for more than two weeks at a time, and we try to find new ways to communicate," she had said.
