THe BMI Pop Awards announced Monday that at its 64th annual iteration, set for May 10, Taylor Swift will receive the Taylor Swift Award, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The 26-year-old "Bad Blood" hitmaker will be the first to receive such an honor.
"This evening is a true celebration of music and a tribute to the artistry of songwriting that spans generations as defined by three of the most prolific and influential music creators in the industry: Taylor Swift, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil," BMI President and CEO Mike O'Neill said in a press release.
