The device records the reading and data of the meter and updates the same to the system automatically eliminating the scope of human error and wrong reading.
"I am sure, the device will not only ensure error free reading of meters and timely distribution of bills but would also help in reducing the carbon footprints," said Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD of TPDDL.
The device also helps in proper bill distribution as it can capture digital signatures from consumers in the touch pad of mobile and the proof of delivery (POD) can be uploaded in system for future reference, said a TDDPL spokesperson.
