dharna (sit-in) here demanding a flyover, Congress launched a counter-agitation saying that the project was not feasible.
The TDP demanded construction of a flyover on Vijayawada-Hyderabad National Highway (No. 7) near Kanakadurga temple here to ease traffic woes.
Targetting the Congress on the occasion, Naidu alleged "Congress' rule is the most inefficient, as public issues are not being taken up by them."
He said, "During the TDP rule in Andhra Pradesh and NDA rule at the Centre, the flyover project was approved, which was later put in a cold storage by the Congress government. During the TDP rule, the estimated cost of the flyover was Rs 100 crore and the Centre had sanctioned Rs 35 crore for it."
"However, unfortunately, Congress did not realise the importance of infrastructure in the country and most of the important infrastructure projects proposed during the TDP rule were neglected," he said.
Questioning why the flyover was not technically feasible as said by the Congress, the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister promised to construct it once the TDP regains power in the state.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of Congress MP L Rajagopal, party workers staged a sit-in, saying that the flyover was technically not feasible.
Rajagopal said that his party was not protesting, but was just "creating awareness" among people on the issue.
Earlier, while Naidu and his party workers were heading towards the agitation site, police diverted their vehicles from the route, which was different from the one fixed before, as the Congressmen had launched their sit-in.
Referring to this during his speech, Naidu asked the police "not to bend before Congress leaders."
Alleging that police officials were "unable to say no to Congress leaders", Naidu said they should "change their attitude".
