"The chief minister summoned the MP and the MLA, besides other TDP leaders who were witness to the incident, to his residence this afternoon and reportedly gave them an 'earful' for tarnishing the image of the government and the party," the party sources said.
Soon after meeting the chief minister, the MP and the MLA drove straight to the transport commissioner's office and tendered an apology to him.
On his part, the IPS officer too said the people's representatives "realised the mistakes in their behaviour yesterday" and "apologised."
The MP and the MLA had created a scene at the Regional Transport Authority office in Vijayawada last evening and allegedly abused Transport Commissioner N Balasubrahmanyam, an IPS officer, and Deputy Transport Commissioner Meera Prasad over a report that the department submitted to the police in a bus accident case.

The MLA, who allegedly tried to charge towards Balasubrahmanyam in an apparent fit of rage, shoved the officer's PSO when he tried to protect the officer.
As the MP, accompanied by MLC Buddha Venkateswara Rao, MLA Bonda Uma, city Mayor Koneru Sridhar, AP Police Housing Corporation Chairman SK Nagulmeera and others, lashed out at the officials, the IPS officer remained mute while his deputy was pleading with the TDP leaders not to create a scene.
They (the TDP leaders) then went to the Vijayawada Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang apparently for mediation in the matter.
But the matter reached the chief minister and other top brass of the government and immediately these leaders were summoned.
