Export in quantity had increased 6.20 per cent while in value terms the rise was 13.20 per cent during the months of January, February and March of 2016, according to a data released by the Tea Board.
The increase in unit price realisation at an all-India level was 6.59 per cent, the data said.
For north India, the rise in quantity and value terms during the period was 15.52 per cent and 17.21 per cent, respectively.
The increase in unit price realisation was only 1.46 per cent for north India during the period.
Unit price realisation for south Indian tea had increased by 10.97 per cent, according to the data.
CIS countries accounted for the maximum imports of Indian tea.
