DMK working president M K Stalin today assured workers in Government-run TANTEA that he would solve their problems, particularly over wages and basic amenities, "once the party comes to power in Tamil Nadu."
"Speaking to reporters after discussions with workers over their grievances, he said their wages were very low and had not increased for the last few years. Also road facilities in the area was very poor, he said.
"I will take up these issues once my party DMK comes to power," Stalin said.
The DMK leader said that silver oaks and teak trees in the Government estate in Gudalur were not felled due to his intervention in the assembly, against the approval given by forest minister, Dindigul Srinivasan.
