Eleven-year-old Koya tribal girl Urmila Kabasi died due to electrocution while she was hanging mosqueto net at the hostel of Project Upper Primary School, Block Colony, Kalimela, on August 2 night. She died on the spot, said Kalimela police station in-charge officer Surenda Kumar Naiak.
Naiak said though the police had earlier registred the matter as a unatural death (UD) case, it later changed the sections keeping an eye on the cicumstances and added section 304(A) which is causing death by negligence.
The teacher was denied bail by the judicial magistrate, first class (JMFC), Motu.
Earlier, the lady teacher was suspended by the district administration following an administrative inquiry.
