Teacher held for molesting minor girl student in south Delhi

A 32-year-old teacher was arrested here today for allegedly molesting a minor student at a private school in a posh locality of south east Delhi, police said.
The accused, Nirmal Tamang, who taught English at a private school here was arrested from his home after an FIR was lodged against him at Greater Kailash police station for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl student.
"The incident came to light when after being ill-treated by Tamang, the girl started crying following which fellow students complained to the Principal of the school. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the Principal gave a written complaint to police," a police official said.

Following the complaint, police registered a case under POCSO and other relevant sections and arrested Tamang from his home.
During investigation, some other girls also reportedly levelled similar changes against Tamang which are being probed, police said.
