The Delhi High Court today granted four weeks interim bail to former IAS officer Sanjiv Kumar, convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison along with former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and his MLA-son Ajay Chautala in the teachers recruitment case.
Justice Siddharth Mridul also extended the interim bail of Om Prakash Chautala's former Officer on Special Duty Vidya Dhar till August 29.
The court granted bail to Kumar, who claims to be the whistle-blower in the case, on the basis of a submission from Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IBHAS) that he is suffering from acute depression.
On August 1, the high court had extended till August 22 the interim bail of the Chautalas as well as Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA Sher Singh Badshami.

Among other convicts, 44 have been sentenced to four years in jail and one to a five-year jail term.
