Team from Kutch to attend annual 'Kutch Festival'

A team from Kutch will attend the annual 'Kutch festival' to be held on Sunday here, as directed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, president of organising body Kutch Asmita Manch, Suresh Gada, said here today.
Gada said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown interest in this year's festival organised by locals of Kutch community in Thane and has directed a team from Kutch to attend and record the programme and also telecast it in Kutch.
The ninth 'Kutch Festival', is a three-hour programme showcasing arts and culture of Kutch region, where winners are awarded with 'Kutch Pagdi'.
Around 34 nominations which have been received from participants, of which, five selected as winners, he said.

Nearly, 70,000 people from Kutch, comprising Kutchi, Waghad and Patel are based in Thane.
