The team will reach Pasighat tomorrow, state epidemiologist L Jampa said here today.
Another team from the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme and National Center for Disease Control is also visiting the state soon to investigate the outbreak of the disease, Jampa said.
"The team of expert (entomological) would conduct study on vectors collected from Pasighat by the entomological team at Kimin Zonal Malaria Headquarter," he said.
Four patients tested positive for dengue virus and 40 for 'Scrub Typhus' out of 118 blood sample collected from Pasighat recently.
An entomological team consisting of two entomologists and one insect-collector has collected a large number of both larvae and adult mosquitoes from the affected areas for performing vector study. Also, rats were trapped, since the transmitting vector causing 'Scrub Typhus' is a "mite" which is usually found in rats, Jampa said.
Fogging operation with chemical insecticide was carried out to reduce the mosquito population in the area by the Malaria division, he said, adding surveillance on fever cases had been activated to monitor the trend.
Treatment for both Dengue Fever and Scrub Typhus has been started as per guidelines, he added.
