This was stated here today by the minister while meeting a joint action committee (JAC) comprising 13 different associations representing over 1,000 unaided colleges of Punjab, said an official release.
According to the release, Channi said that no institute will be allowed to increase seats after the declaration of seats of courses.
There would be no compromise on the issue of providing quality education to the students, he said.
Channi said a uniform and transparent procedure will be adopted for the verification and inspection of technical education institutes.
The JAC also submitted a memorandum urging the Punjab government to exclude unaided colleges from the ambit of the regulatory body as their number of seats, admissions, syllabus, examination, fee structure etc is already regulated by various regulatory bodies.
