Tech Mahindra sets up centre to showcase smart manufacturing

IT firm Tech Mahindra has set up a lab to showcase assets and solutions in areas of digital manufacturing, connected machines, robotics and automation as well as artificial intelligence and analytics.
No financial details were disclosed.
Tech Mahindra has taken the lead position by setting up a state-of-the-art lab which works on technologies that are expected to power the future factory floors, it said in a statement.
The lab will demonstrate solutions and products built in association with many software and hardware vendors, it added.

Cyient completes acquisition of CERTON Software Inc * IT firm Cyient today said it has completed the acquisition of CERTON Software that will strengthen its business by adding model-based systems engineering tools and test automation capabilities.

Based in US, CERTON has a core team of around 45 people and its solutions cater primarily to aerospace and defence industries as well as medical and transportation sectors.

Housing Bank Algeria selects Infosys Finacle to power ops * The Housing Bank has selected Infosys' Finacle suite of solutions to power its operations in Algeria.
The bank has chosen to deploy the Finacle Core Banking, Trade Finance and Internet Banking solutions and will also deploy the Finacle Islamic Banking solution for its Shariah banking product, Infosys said in a statement.
No financial details were disclosed.
With Finacle, Housing Bank will will be able to accelerate growth, manage scale, drive innovation and achieve significant jump in operational efficiencies, it said.

The solution will enable the bank to offer targeted and customised offerings to its customers, it added.
