"Despite MCD having been put on notice more than two months back, the lack of response and indecision is disturbing and consequently we have been constrained to stop further support services for this project ," the company said in a statement.
The suspension of online services has been very inconvenient to consumers as the municipal corporation provided various services through their e-governance portal including filing RTI, payment of property tax and hawkers' licence, among others.
"The system has been in use for three years now and Tech Mahindra has not been paid any amount for the support services. The total outstanding on account of 'support services' provided over the last three years totals to Rs 30 crore and the total amount including hardware, custom made software and support services amounts to nearly Rs 80 crore," the company statement claimed
When asked North Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner P K Gupta said the company had suspended the online services yesterday but added that it is being restored.
"We had a meeting earlier to resolve the issue but it wasn't very successful. The company people are talking to their seniors to look for a solution," Gupta added.
Tech Mahindra maintained that it is committed to ensure on-time and flawless delivery for all its customers.
