TechM's Mobomoney ties up with ToneTag for sound-based NFC

Tech Mahindra's contactless payment solution company MoboMoney today tied up with ToneTag for enabling offline and contactless payments using sound.
The patented technology of ToneTag, when integrated with the MoboMoney mobile application, will help consumers to pay using sound, Tech Mahindra said in a statement.

Vikram Solar partners Powertech Africa
* Solar energy solutions provider Vikram Solar today said it is partnering with Powertech Africa, thereby entering 14 new markets in sub-Saharan Africa, including Botswana, Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
"Vikram Solar, with Powertech Africa as its official sales agent, expects to generate PV module sales of one megawatt in sub-Saharan Africa by May 2016. Drawing on its existing international network, Powertech will be supplying large solar projects and homeowners alike," the company said in a statement.

migme raises AUD 6.99 mn from Meitu
* Digital media company migme today said it has signed an agreement with Meitu Investment for raising AUD 6.99 million.
Migme will work closely with Meitu to implement the sharing of content across the Meitu and migme platforms, localisation, joint and cross marketing initiatives for migme's key markets in the South and Southeast Asian region, with a focus on Indonesia, India and the Philippines, it said in a statement.
Meitu is a photo and video editing app with over 900 million users (predominantly in China) across their portfolio of products.

WNS extends contract with GSK
* BPM services major WNS today said its contract with global pharmaceutical leader GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has been extended until December, 2020.
"WNS has been a trusted partner driving evidence-based decisions through high-end research and analytics services. Under the agreement with GSK, WNS has set-up a dedicated state-of-the-art Knowledge Center, driven by a team of over 600 industry experts," WNS Group CEO Keshav R Murugesh said.

Tinystep gets funding from BabyCenter founder Matt Glickman * A month after receiving funds from Flipkart, parenting social network Tinystep has received investment from from Silicon valley entrepreneur and investor, Matt Glickman.
He has invested an undisclosed amount in Tinystep and will step in as an advisory board member, Tinysteo said in a statement.
Glickman is the founder of parenting platform, BabyCenter. The portal reaches over 45 million parents a month.
Tinystep plans to use the money for improving its product and strengthening its team.
