Stressing that the aim of research should be welfare of the people, he said corruption can also be checked though the use of technology.
"Technical education is the basis of development of any society and country... Prosperity can be achieved only by adopting technology," Adityanath said at a programme on technical education here.
"Our engineers should discharge their duties keeping in mind as to what they can do for improving the society. Seventy-five districts of the state should have identity as 75 products," he said, adding that checking migration of the youth was among the priorities of his government.
Highlighting the importance of hygiene, he said dreaded diseases like japanese encephalisits, dengue and swine flu can be checked by keeping the surroundings clean.
Exhorting the students to make technology useful for the people of the country, he said it should be such that the last person in social ladder could benefit from it.
