Technical snag in Cheran Express engine, passengers stranded

: Passengers of Cheran Express were stranded in a village near Erode railstation due to a technical snag in the engine early this morning.
The train, coming from Chennai was to have reached the city around 6 AM. However, it was halted at the village after a problem was detected in the engine around 4 AM, putting the passengers into hardship, police said.
On information, staff from Erode rushed there and rectified the fault, after which the express reached the city around 8 Am, police added.
