"The girl was admitted to district hospital yesterday after she drank phenyl at her house. Her condition is now stated to be normal," SHO of Janjgir police station, Ajay Shankar Tripathi said.
In her statement to police, the girl alleged that she was being constantly harassed by the youths whenever she passed from that locality, he said, adding "fed up with this, she decided to end her life".
On the basis of the girl's complaint, a case of eve-teasing was registered against Kamesh Tiwari (20), Amanraj (21) and Vishal Malakar (20) and efforts are on to arrest them, the SHO said.
