Teenage girl killed in accident

A 17-year-old girl was today killed and her father injured when the scooty, which they were riding, was hit by a speeding truck, police said.
Anjum Bano was on her way to school with her father when the incident occurred, they said.
While Anjum died on spot, her father is being treated at SMS government hospital, police said.
The truck driver fled after the incident, they said.
The body has been handed over to family members after postmortem, police said, adding, a case has been registered against the truck driver under relevant sections of the IPC.
