Teenaged lorry cleaner arrested

: A 19-year-old lorry cleaner has been arrested in Thondamuthur area here on charges of having a physical relationship with a minor girl for the last five months and abandoning her after finding out she was pregnant.
Police said the two had fallen in love when they were studying in the same school at Derayapuram for the last two and half years. Both had discontinued their studies, with the boy taking up the job and the girl at home.
They said the boy had taken advantage of the absence of her parents who were continuously at the Coimbaore Medical College over the last five months to take care of her sister, a TB patient and lured the girl into a physical relationship, resulting in her becoming pregnant.

A week back, her parents learnt of their daughter's condition,approached the boy and asked him to marry her,but he refused,citing the different communities to which they belong.
The parents then filed a complaint and he was arrested last night, police said.
