According to police, Ravi of Sengunram in Chennai, along with his son Mohanaroopan, suffering from autism and also differently abled, had checked in a a lodge a couple of days ago, claimed to be for medical treatment.
As the room was not opened till this noon, the lodge management broke open the door and found both lying in unconscious state, with a bottle of rat poison nearby, they said.
The teenager was declared brought dead in the government hospital, while Ravi was in serious condition.
