A 12-year-old boy from Pakistan was repatriated to his country after he inadvertently crossed over to this side of the border, a BSF officer said today.
Kashim, a resident of village Nagaja in Pakistan, was apprehended at Border Out Post (BOP) Kamalpur Jattan at Gurdaspur sector, BSF DIG R P S Jaswal said.
The boy was repatriated last night and no case of illegal border crossing was registered against him, Jaswal said.
During questioning nothing objectionable was found in his possession and he had crossed the border inadvertently, Jaiswal said.
This year, as many as 16 Pakistani nationals have inadvertently crossed border and later they were handed over to Pakistan Rangers, Jaswal said.
