Tehsil employees go on strike in UP

Workers of all seven Tehsils in Bulandshahr district today went on strike over the alleged assault on a Registrar Kanoongo by Tehsildar of Khurja city, police said.
The victim, Shripal Singh has alleged that he was assaulted by Tehsildar Manoj Kumar at the latter's residence last evening.
Employees of all the Tehsils in the district gathered at Khurja Tehsil premises and sat on a dharna, Superintendent of Police (Rural), Pankaj Pandey said.
The Police has not yet received any written complaint from the victim, Pandey said.
