Tejas came from behind to upset the second seed 4-6 6-3 6-4 in the second round of hard court tournament.
Mihika eked out a hard-fought 6-7(3) 6-1 7-6(3) win to advance in the championship.
Men's top seed Vishnu Vardhan closed the door on Paramveer Bajwa 6-4 6-3 to move to the quarterfinals.
Third seed VM Ranjeet survived a scare from Byreddy Saran before prevailing 7-6 (4) 1-6 7-5 in a match which went down to the wire. There were a number of ups and downs in the long, grinding match where Ranjeet used his experience to pull off a creditable win in cooler conditions but in high humidity.

In the women's event, Delhi girl Shweta Rana upset second seed and statemate Rishika Sunkara in the first round with a thumping 6-0 6-1 win. But in the second round Shweta was on the receiving end as SharmadaBalu registered a creditable 7-6(5) 6-4 win in a two hour and 15 minutes.
Third seed Riya Bhatia underlining her superiority by playing a patient game against Samriti Puniyani for a 6-2 6-1 win in the second round.
