As part of the exercise, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will formally inaugurate Rs 1,600 crore cost 400 KV substation on the outskirts of Chivvemla in Suryapet district, it said.
The chief minister spoke to T S Genco, Transco CMD D Prabhakar Rao today about the power generation, distribution and supply of power.
The official explained to the CM about the efforts made by the electricity organisations to supply 24 hour power to the farm sector at a cost of Rs 12,610 crore, the release said.
There were 3,748 transformers before the formation of Telangana in 2014 and after that 1,724 were added taking up the number of transformers to 5,472, it added.
