Telangana: 5 dead as car jumps over divider, hits another car

Five persons including a woman and two children were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Andugulapalli village in the Peddapalli district of Telangana, 40 km from here, today.
Police sub-inspector P Vijender said a car heading for Godavarikhani from Karimnagar hit the road divider at Andugulapalli and jumped over, falling on another car coming from the opposition direction, in which the victims were travelling.
"Mohd Azeem (42), his wife Asia Sultana (36) and their daughter Arfa (1 year) were killed on the spot," the officer said.
Mohd Afreen (28) and Mahivish (4) died on the way to hospital, he added.

Driver Nazeer(38) and Rafia (7) were shifted to the Karimnagar district hospital for treatment, he said.
Sudarshan (35) who was driving the other car sustained grievous injuries. He was shifted to Hyderabad for treatment and his condition was critical, the police officer said.
