Referring to the ongoing protests by supporters of united Andhra Pradesh against creation of Telangana in Seemandhra (Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema) regions, the DGP said that no one can infringe on the rights of individuals and create lawlessness.
"...As long as it (agitations) is well within the democratic process no one will have objection," the top cop said in a release.
Stating that it was "highly objectionable and unbecoming" to indulge in vandalism of statues of the national leaders, the DGP said "such persons and those behind these acts will be dealt with very seriously".
