Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today left for Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Central leaders to discuss the Zonal system concerning government employment and other issues in the state.

The Chief Minister is of the view that the response from the Centre is not on expected lines despite several appeals from the state government, according to an official release.

"The CM has decided to go to Delhi personally and stay there for a couple of days and meet the Prime Minister and other ministers to discuss the issues and get approvals.

The important among all is the long pending approval of the Zonal system to be created in Telangana State," it had said yesterday.

The non-clearance of the zonal system by the Centre is leading to delay in the recruitment of panchayat secretaries and others, it said.

"CM wants that Prime Minister should take personal initiative to see that the central government gives clearance to the zonal system immediately,"the release said.

Though theChief Adviser tothe stategovernment Rajiv Sharma has been camping in New Delhi for quite some time and monitoring the issues concerned to the state, there is not much headway and hence, Rao has decided to pursue the issue himself, the release added.
