The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana today unearthed assets worth over Rs 3.41 crore, allegedly belonging to a deputy executive engineer of the Panchayat Raj Department posted in Ranga Reddy district.
The market value of these assets could be as much as Rs 10 crore, the ACB said.
Acting on a tip-off that he has amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income, searches were conducted at the house of B Sudarshan Reddy, the officer, and the houses of his relatives, the ACB said in a release.
Reddy was found to be possessing 11 acres of agricultural land, two houses, four flats and 11 residential plots, it claimed.
ACB sleuths also found gold jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh and Rs 1.66 lakh in cash.
While the 'documentary value' of these assets is Rs 3.41 crore, market value is about Rs 10 crore, it said.
A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered but no arrest has been made yet.
