: Several parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, continued to experience cold conditions with the lowest minimum temperature of six degrees Celsius recorded in districts of Adilabad and Medak, officials said Wednesday.

Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in isolated places in the districts of Peddapalle, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its daily weather report of Telangana.

At 8.30 am, Ramagundam and Hyderabad reported minimum temperatures of 9 and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in the past 24 hours, the report said.

Normal life has been thrown out of gear at some places in the state for the past several days owing to the cold conditions.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) decided to distribute blankets to the homeless who sleep on the pavements.

The Corporation Commissioner M Dana Kishore said about 700 people were taking shelter in about 15 night shelters already set up here.
