The proposed Telangana State Industrial Policy has identified 12 sectors including defence and aerospace for sector specific incentives, Telengana's Special Chief Secretary and Commissioner for Industrial Promotion and Mines Telangana K Pradeep said.
The government is keen to promote different industries after studying incentives offered by neighbouring states to stay competitive, he added.
"The government will organise a three-day conference from November 12-14 aimed at showcasing Telangana as an investment hub in the defence and aerospace engineering domain as well as highlight its investment friendly policies," he told reporters.
The event has already received 300 delegate registrations with representation from 15 countries and nearly 20 international speakers from defence and aerospace engineering global majors, he said.
The event has confirmed participation from globally recognised firms like EADS, Airbus, Eurocopter, Dassault, UTC, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Avion, Aerolia, Bell Helicopters, Hamilton, Zodiac, Philips Aircraft, UTC HQ and the Israeli Aerospace Manufacturing Federation, besides others, he said.
