Telangana wants Obama to visit Hyderabad during India trip

Telangana Government wants US President Barack Obama to visit Hyderabad when he arrives in India next month to be the chief guest at Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi.
This message was today conveyed to a visiting delegation from the US State Department, led by Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Puneet Talwar
According to a press release issued by the state government, Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao, who met the delegation, requested it to see that Obama visits Hyderabad during his January trip to India.
During the meeting, Rao explained the initiatives taken by the government of the newly formed Telangana to develop the state capital as an aerospace hub of the country.

Besides, Talwar, the US delegation comprised Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Atul Keshap, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs Kenneth B Handelman and Consul General Michael Mullins, among others.
