Temperature drops in Himachal

Una in Shivalik foothills, which was hottest in the region, recorded maximum temperature at 30 degree Celsius after 19 mm of rains, while Sundernagar and Bhuntar which experienced light rains registered a high of recorded 27.4 deg C and 25.5 deg C.

State capital Shimla which received 12.5 mm rains, recorded a high of 21.1 deg C, a drop of two degrees.

Solan town also saw a drop of four degree from 29.5 deg C to 25.5 deg C after 23.5 mm of rains while Nahan and Kalpa recorded a high of 27.8 deg C and 20.0 deg C respectively.

Berthin in Bilaspur district recorded 72 mm of rains while Bhangana and Gaggal had 65 mm and 51 mm rains, followed by Jubbarhatti 41 mm, Kheri 36 mm, Sujanpur Tihra 35 mm, Amb 25 mm, Hamirpur 23 mm, Dharampur, Nadaun and Kasol 21 mm each, Bharmour 18 mm, Guler 17 mm, Chamba and Dehra Gopipur and Seobagh 12 mm each.

The local MeT office has predicted widespread rains in the region during the next 48 hours with heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places.
