Temperature remains high despite light showers in capital

The showers hit some parts of the capital in the afternoon, but the temperature was recorded at 40.2 deg C, three degrees above normal.

The minimum temperature at 31 deg C was also high for this time of the season.

Humidity was recorded between 32 and 59 per cent, the MeT office said.

The weather office has forecast party cloudy sky with thunder development in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperature would be 40 and 30 degrees respectively, it said.
