Hisar in Haryana, too, saw light rain, but the maximum settled four notches above normal at 36 deg C. Bhiwani had a hot day with a maximum of 36.2 deg C, up three degrees.
Ambala at 34.4 deg C, Rohtak at 34.4 deg C and Narnaul at 34.5 deg C recorded near similar above normal maximums, while Karnal's high settled at 32 deg C.
Hot and humid conditions prevailed in Patiala, which recorded a high of 36.7 deg C, up five notches.
Amritsar recorded a high of 35.1 deg C, up two degrees, while Ludhiana's maximum was at 34.2 deg C.
