Temperatures hover around normal level in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today hovered around normal levels even as certain areas in the two agrarian states recorded higher than normal temperatures.
Day temperatures in most parts of Punjab and Haryana hovered between one degree Celsius above normal and one notch below normal limit, the MeT office said here.
Hisar was the hottest place in the region with a high of 37 degrees Celsius, which was one notch above normal.
While Chandigarh settled at a high of 33.5 degrees Celsius, the maximum at Amritsar and Patiala was an identical 33.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
Among other places, Ambala had a high of 33.1 degrees Celsius, followed by 32.9 degrees Celsius at Ludhiana and 32.4 degrees Celsius at Karnal, which was one notch below normal.
According to a MeT forecast, the weather would remain sunny during the next two days in the region.
