Chandigarh, the common capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a high of 29.3 deg C, four notches above the normal while the minimum here settled at 13.4 deg C, five notches above the normal, it said.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 27.4 deg C, three notches above normal and a minimum of 8.4 deg C, two degrees above the normal.
Ludhiana's maximum temperature settled at 29 deg C, six degrees above the normal while the low was recorded at 11.2 deg C, two degrees above the normal.
In Haryana, Hisar's maximum settled at 29.5 deg C, three notches above the normal, while the minimum was recorded at 12.2 deg C, also three notches above normal.

Ambala's maximum was recorded at 26.4 deg C, one notch above the normal, while the minimum settled at 12.7 deg C, four degrees above the normal.
Karnal also recorded above normal maximum and minimum temperatures at 28 deg C and 12.2 deg C, respectively.
