Temple guards beat up old woman, son

In a shocking incident, an old woman and her son have been beaten up by security guards at the famous Sree Krishna temple here.
The issue came to light with local television channels beaming the CCTV images of the temple guard roughing up the woman and her son on February 23.
The visuals showed the woman being pushed away by a temple guard. Her son was beaten up by the guards when he approached them questioning the rough treatment meted out to his mother.
Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar has sought a report on the incident from the temple authorities.

Temple authorities said no formal complaint had been received from the woman or her son and the whereabouts of the devotees who had come to worship was not known.
