The mishap took place as the truck lost control and overturned in the roadside ditch, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ramniranjan Singh said adding 10 buffaloes were crushed to death under the body of the 12-wheeled vehicle, while four others sustained injuries after getting stuck in the ditch.
The dead cattle heads were buried after autopsy, he said.
The truck driver and cleaner escaped from the spot, Singh said.
